2010 Campaign

2010 Spring Tea
On May 8th, our Ladies Spring Tea was held with 11 other churches attending. We had over 200 ladies that enjoyed hearing Mrs. Cathy Berry from Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Jann Baker from Belleville, IL and our very own Mrs. Robin Ogle speak. During the breaks they were able to shop in our little Mini Mall.

30th Anniversary Celebration
On May 2, 2010, Calvary Baptist Church celebrated
its 30th anniversary. There were 33 people that became charter members and of those 33, nine still remain. Those nine were honored and presented with a beautiful clock.
They include Mrs. Neva Bishop, Mr. Nelson Bugos, Mr. Dick Chatterton, Mr. & Mrs. John Gray,
Mr. & Mrs. Ron Latimer and Mr. & Mrs. Ron Tourtillott.
Also, receiving recognition for faithful service for over 25 years was Mr. & Mrs. David Snider. An award for 20 years of service was presented to Mr. & Mrs. Don DeRenzy. Mrs. Susan Larson, one of our members, was presented with a volunteer award for her many hours of volunteer service to our community.
All of the members that have been attending for 15 years will be treated to dinner at Fairview Farms later this month.
Four workers from FCRC were presented certificates for their compassion and commitment to their residents. Also, three activities directors from local nursing homes were presented with an Eagle award in helping promote the cause of Christ in their work places.
A new pulpit made by Rich Wilkie was also presented to Preacher on this special anniversary.
